(1 in 58 among boys.) Scary! The whole group was looking at the camera and he was staring off somewhere else, with no expression on his face, rattling the two trains he HAS to have in his hands at all times. Surprisingly, amongst the 50+ that I've spoken with an emailed, an overwhelming majority prefer to be referred to as 'autistic' as opposed to 'has autism.' I can see both side of the argument I guess, but I have asthma; therefore I'm an asthmatic. My father has diabetes, and refers to himself as a diabetic. With those labels, nobody assumes that these labels define ALL of who we are, why is autism different? I mean, I suppose it very well could be the case, but why?
